Overview:
Story Craft Level 2 is a writing course for students in Primary 3 and 4, which focuses on detailed language use, accuracy, and the elements of effective story writing.
Objectives:
- Participants are equipped with effective language skills for creative writing.
- Participants are able to precisely describe external and internal qualities of various characters.
- Participants understand how to use setting to effectively facilitate plot or create story settings.
Direct Application:
- Participants will be able to create convincing and realistic situations through the use of effective language.
- Participants are able to dramatize action sequences, in particular chase and conflict scenes, by effectively using setting.
- Participants will be better readers, as the techniques taught motivate an exploration of language and the development of a stronger vocabulary.
- Participants will have a wider range of themes and plots to draw from.
