ASC is our graduating course for dedicated writers.
In ASC, our trainers prepare writers for the real world. They will learn how to revise and re-draft stories like a professional, how to sell their work, and what to expect from the industry.
ASC is a structured approach toward analyzing and applying the literary devices used by accomplished writers. Tapping on the British and American canon, we show writers the subtle qualities that make some stories stand out from others. Writers will also learn the sets of techniques that define the different genres.
ASC places high expectations on the students, and ensures they can achieve them. They will learn to write in different modalities, explore variations in narrative structure, and learn from the classics and avant-garde.
ASC students are exposed to numerous texts, from classical Realist novels to bleeding edge post-modern works. They are taught to be bold and experimental, but not to lose sight of the all-important goal: attracting and keeping readers.
