Our friends at MOE told us that Expository Writing will replace Narrative Writing from 2012 onwards. Our new course, creatively titled, Expository Writing Programme was developed is designed to turn students into engaging, organized, and informative writers.

This is a tagline you’ve probably heard from a dozen other companies. One difference though: the word “engaging“.

The truth is, just about every tuition centre can teach plain expository writing. Anyone can teach a student how to write about “My Holiday in Ireland” or “Why People Should Have Pets“. The problem is, the students all sound likedrones. They follow bland styles, pepper their text with clichés, and express fewer opinions than an introvert on a blind date. If that’s all you want out of your students, why are you even hiring someone? At MUTB, we suspect youwant better for your students. You want them to write with zest and personality, in a way that will totally obliterate their competitors.

Yes, competitors. Students are immersed in a world of competing voices. With every blog post, SMS, and e-Novel, their risk of being shouted down, of having a voice too weak to be heard, will grow.

That’s why MUTB finds industry relevant professionals to design and run its courses. Our trainers are professional writers, on or offline, who live on their ability to write. Their lunch, their rent, and their careers depend upon it.These are professionals who have faced down editorial and public criticism, who have worked in corporate, academic, and entertainment markets. When it comes to engaging an audience, they don’t just know every trick in the book. They WROTE the book.

Our course is also vetted by NIE trained teachers, so we know what fits into your syllabus, and what will get in your way.
