About the illustrators
Joshua Chiang is a self-taught illustrator-scriptwriter-director and also the founder of Cerealbox Studios. His love of visual storytelling began in early childhood with a regular diet of Hollywood films, Hong Kong TV dramas, superhero comics, and ‘lian huan hua’ – illustrated booklets depicting Chinese folklore and mythology. At age nine, he sold his first comic, The Adventures of Hercules and Odysseus, to his mother for ten cents. Monsters On The Wall is his first venture in illustrating a children’s book.
Din is a Fine Arts graduate who works as a full-time freelance illustrator, designer and digital painter. His flair for visual arts blossomed at a tender age as he covertly doodled on the walls of his living room, much to his parents’ displeasure. Din’s previous publications deal mostly in comics for older audiences, and this is
his first attempt at a children’s book.

It is hoped that as children read on and discover that the monsters exist only in their minds, they will banish their fear of them. Other books in this series include The Thing Under My Bed, Nu-Nu, The Ring-Necked Monster and Guai Wu, The Monster Child.
